We are committed to caring for the oceans we board in, and the planet as a whole.

Consider this fact, Just One of our boards purchased, used, enjoyed and loved for its minimum design life of 45 years

Will potentially prevent the Manufacture, Distribution and ultimately environmentally tragic disposal of at least 7 Polyurethane boards! Or 1.3m³ of non degradable landfill, makes you think doesn’t it?

Choosing green options and Partners is something we consider at every point in the design and manufacturing process.

Our unique specification”Surf Classic” boards are now cut offsite, Cumbrian based Fyne Boat Kits https://www.fyneboatkits.co.uk/info/  – manufacture with sustainably sourced 7ply certified Lloyds approved Marine Hardwoods,  this enables all off-cuts to be fully repurposed where possible, or used in their biomass boiler.

If we use any Vinyl Graphics within your bespoke boards we use commercial off-cut and waste Materials.

Transportation and final delivery Boxes are made of 40% recycled materials, and we use trade waste for the soft wrapping whenever possible.

Our bespoke wall brackets enable us to utilise our timber off-cuts usefully.Wall Mounting Bracket

Our latest incarnation of the Brierely board “Biscuit Board” Biscuit Boards Back to the future has a high percentage of reclaimed materials which although a fine concept has proved to be difficult to substantiate the additional energy usage.

The primary problem is the vastly increased machining energy needed to re purpose Laboratory worktops into usable strip-plank components, has eaten into the estimated carbon offset by not using new timber.

however we believe it is a step in the right direction and will consider tooling options.
