Surf Classic™ Surf Glider & Bespoke Belly Boards

Our Materials

The formation of Surf Classic was not a choice it was fate… the story so far

So, we bought a handmade Body Board in Crantock North Cornwall about 22 years ago and fell in love with what must be the purest form of wave propelled fun.

Over the next years, we attempted to replicate that board with its decreasing radius curve and our own retro artwork, and we made several as gifts for family and friends. The results were to say the least unpredictable but not as truly awful as some close family members would have us believe.

Every year we would return to try our latest creations and finish leaving with just the original we bought from John and Sue Dennett at Higher Moor Crantock. The good thing about camping is that firewood can be from any source including warped Body Boards.

The original electro steam press that formed our board was we were told still in existence but it was kept well away from view truly this was a mystical thing.

Then in 2015 fate intervened, John and Sue decided to stop producing Body Boards themselves and offered us the original Press, their wish being to keep this venerable piece of hand built machinery producing smiles on future holiday makers faces.
